With the right evasion gear and enough scaling, Sorcery Ward can climb into the 9,000 to 10,000 range, sometimes higher. That's a huge buffer against hits. Not tiny chip hits, either. Proper, nasty hits that would flatten a lot of other characters. You still need to respect damage over time, because Sorcery Ward isn't a magic answer to every problem, but direct hits become far less scary. Add a little leech, some life on kill, or basic recovery, and you'll notice that mapping stops being tense. You're moving, shooting, reloading, and most monsters just don't get to punish you.

Clearing and Boss Damage

The build usually leans on Galvanic Shards for map clear, and that skill does exactly what you want it to do. It clears quickly, doesn't feel clunky, and handles most packs before they have time to surround you. For tougher rares and bosses, Shock Burst Rounds take over. Your crossbow wants attack speed first, then strong damage mods, levels, and crit chance if you're moving into a crit version. Weapon sets also make the character smoother. Put Galvanic Shards on one set for clearing, then Shock Burst Rounds and your automated Thunderstorm setup on another. You can use the same crossbow across sets, so it doesn't feel like an old-school weapon swap. Keep Blink and Wind Dancer available where needed, or you'll notice the defensive rhythm break.
