U4GM Guide to Getting a Matriarch Core Solo No Fights
Most players treat the Matriarch on Spaceport like a big heroic moment, then wonder why they're broke and running around in grey gear for the next hour. If you're solo, there's a calmer way to play it. Think of it as shopping, not slaying—knowing what's worth grabbing, what to ignore, and when to move. I started doing this after checking a few ARC Raiders Items lists and realising the Core is the only thing that truly changes your run.Set up like a thief, not a soldier
1) Pick a light kit you can afford to lose, because you probably will. A Cloaking Device is the main thing; without it, you're just a target jogging through crossfire. 2) Bring one utility that creates goodwill or confusion—lots of people like a defib blueprint for that quick revive, but even a simple support tool helps. 3) Leave the ego at home. You're not there to "help" kill the boss. You're there to survive long enough to touch the right pile of scrap and walk away.Let the lobby do the loud work
Don't drop in like you're late to the party. Wait a bit, then head toward the sound. You want the Matriarch already being hammered, with squads committed and ARCs flinging shots everywhere. Stay wide, use cover, and watch for the moment when the fight starts getting messy—downed players, panic rotations, random grenades going off. That's your timing window. People get tunnel vision fast in this event, and you can almost feel it when the whole server stops checking their corners. How to actually grab the Core
As the Matriarch takes damage, bits and loot can end up on the ground around the chaos. Don't sprint straight in. Slow down, scan, and look for a safe line. If you can ping items from cover first, do it; you're checking whether it's junk or the real prize. When you spot the Core, cloak and move like you mean it—short path, no hesitation. The second the search prompt appears, loot fast and jam it into your Safe Pocket right away. If someone clips you a heartbeat later, fine. The whole trick is that the run is "successful" the moment it's secured, not when you extract.Clean exits and repeatable profit
Once it's pocketed, don't hang around pretending you're part of the team fight. Break line of sight, rotate to a quieter route, and leave the hot zone before anybody even realises they've been robbed. Sometimes you'll die on the way out. It still feels worth it when you load back in and the Core's waiting for you. If you're trying to build consistency, plan your route, keep your kit cheap, and treat the event like a quick in-and-out job—then use the payout to upgrade sensibly, or just top up through ARC Raiders Items buy when you want to skip the grind and get straight back to running Spaceport.Looking to make ARC Raiders feel a bit less brutal and a lot more profitable? The Matriarch Core doesn't have to mean a full-on ammo dump—spawn late on Spaceport, let the lobby kick off the Matriarch event, then slip in with a Cloaking Device, tag the dropped parts, snag the Core fast, and tuck it straight into your Safe Pocket. |
